The Bear and The Travellers

Two friends were once passing through a jungle. One was carrying his gun with him. He went on boasting of his bravery and the courage with which he killed many tigers and leopards. All of a sudden they saw bear at some distance. The man with the gun ran to the nearest tree and
climbed to a safe place. But he forgot all about his poor friend, and left him to his fate. However, in his helplessness, he flung himself down upon his face and laid there upon the ground like a dead man. The bear smelt his body and turned him over. But it took him for a dead man and went away, without doing him any harm.
After a few minutes, the bear was quite out of sight. The boaster came down from the tree and asked his friend, ‘’what did the bear say in our ear? ‘’He quickly replied, ‘’It only advised me to have no trust in boaster.’’
